Mayor Bloomberg, Brooklyn District Attorney Hynes and Police Commissioner Kelly Announce Indictment in Florida-to-New York Illegal Gun Trafficking Ring
Mayor Bloomberg, Kings County District Attorney Hynes and Police Commissioner Kelly today announced the indictment of two individuals charged with running a Florida-to-New York gun trafficking ring. The 105-count indictment charges Watson Joachin, 27, and Ryan Woodard, 22, with selling dozens of guns to undercover officers during a three-month investigation.

Mayor Bloomberg Announces Record 20,000 Job Placements in 2009
Mayor Bloomberg, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development Lieber and Department of Small Business Services Commissioner Walsh today announced the City has placed New Yorkers in 20,000 jobs since the beginning of this year, up 42 percent from this time last year. After achieving a record high of more than 17,000 job placements in 2008, Mayor Bloomberg set the goal of 20,000 job placements in his 2009 State of the City speech.

Mayor Bloomberg and JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, together with Central Park Conservancy President Douglas Blonsky and Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe today announced a $1 million donation from Chase to the Conservancy to restore and replant areas of Central Park that were devastated by the severe storm on August 18, 2009.

Mayor Bloomberg Announces City Acquisition
of Coney Island Property to Expand and Permanently Preserve Historic Amusement
District
Mayor Bloomberg today announced the City has signed a contract with Thor
Equities to acquire 6.9-acres in Coney Island for $95.6 million, which
will allow the City to expand, enhance and make permanent Coney Island's
historic amusement district. With the acquisition of three waterfront parcels,
the City will create a 12.5-acre outdoor amusement park within a new 27-acre
amusement and entertainment district.

Mayor Bloomberg Presents FY 2010 Preliminary
Budget
Mayor Bloomberg today presented a Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 Preliminary Budget
and an updated four-year financial plan. The Mayor outlined a plan to close
a $4 billion deficit for FY 2010 through nearly $1 billion in new agency
gap closing actions, keeping controllable expenses virtually flat as well
as revenue enhancements, including possible sales tax increases and long-term
cost containment measures such as pension reform and efforts to reign in
employee health care costs.

Mayor Bloomberg Releases 2005 Campaign
Accountability Report
Mayor Bloomberg today released his third Campaign Accountability Report,
showing that nearly a year and a half after Election Day 2005, 96% of the
